MARSEILLE TAROT
//// 78 CARDS — MAJOR & MINOR ARCANA
In Orbis Nox, the major arcana emerge as symbols refined to their essence, a cross between primitive pictograms and contemporary sign systems. The minor arcana respond to the same logic: wands as rectangles, cups as circles, swords as triangles and coins as squares. Elementary morphologies that condense centuries of reading into their own grammar.
It is a Marseille-style tarot, but without ornamentation. Each stroke, each absence, is there for the symbology to do its work. Because Orbis Nox does not give answers: it raises questions.
Its back, in neon red, bears a shiny, sectorized lacquer in the shape of a circle, an echo of the “O” of Orbis Nox, as if the deck contained a threshold of light in the darkness.
/// EACH ARCANE, MAJOR OR MINOR, IS NAMED, NUMBERED AND ASSOCIATED WITH ITS CORRESPONDING ELEMENT.
